Our Story

A small inn, kept close to the harbor town

Driftwood Harbor Inn is a boutique inn in Newport, Rhode Island. It is a place to stay, not a resort, and we keep it that way on purpose.

Our rooms are made for rest: soft bedding, natural wood, linen curtains and plenty of daylight. Each room has its own bathroom, so you can settle in and stay a while.

When you write to us, a person on our team reads your note and replies with availability and next steps. Tell us what you like to do, and we will share ideas for your days in Newport, from the waterfront to the old streets in town.

What Sets Us Apart

What a Stay Here Feels Like

Four things guests notice once they settle in.

Boutique, not big

A small inn means a quieter stay and a slower pace, with Newport waiting outside.

Rooms with a coastal feel

Light colors, natural wood and soft blue accents, made for rest after a day by the water.

Coffee and tea each morning

Morning coffee and tea are ready when you are, so the day can start without a rush.
